Australia is home to a diverse array of native plants. From large Eucalyptus trees to delicate Bottlebrushes, and each native plant has a unique story.

A brand new Plant Science Learning Hub now available online, aims to inspire and educate the next generation of environmental scientists and conservationists to care for our native plants and ecosystems.

Developed by the Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG), the hub features a suite of free teaching resources including lesson plans, indoor and outdoor activities, videos and online interactive activities. Aligned to the Australian Curriculum, 70 activities and 180 teaching suggestions will support teachers with plant science studies for primary school students in years 4 to 6.

The current offering includes four modules that explore plant life cycles, plant structure, pollination, and seeds. The hub is a dynamic educational platform and will be regularly updated to include new activities.

The Plant Science Learning Hub is available online and free of charge at learn.anbg.gov.au.
