The Gardens boast around 75,000 plants from over 4,300 species. That’s about a fifth of Australia’s known native plant species.
Our collection is arranged around several themes. Many plants are grouped by their geographic origin, botanical family or the ways they are used by Indigenous Australians.
Some areas display Australia’s rare and endangered plants. Others are organised by horticultural attributes to help you develop a native garden at home.
